The Simple Things

This is the end of our road
We have to find another path

Without the emotions that threaten to kill us both

The surrounding, sights and sounds are all too familiar. It’s been awhile since I’ve last visited this place. The last time I came here it took a large piece of me for keep sake, I hope this time it will be kinder. I really don’t have that much to give away at the moment.

A very long and winding road leads me to where I am now. Like all roads, it had its fair share of potholes and bumps but it’s all good. The trip here was a great one. No regrets really.

Along the way I had more memories that I would have every imagined or asked for when I started off. It goes without saying that those memories were a mix of pleasant and unpleasant ones but the pleasant ones out weight the unpleasant ones. It was like nothing I had before and I’ll take those memories to my grave.

To the person that I shared so much precious memories, I have this to say to you…

…..” I thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me so much in such little time. After the anger fades and the feelings subsides I hope that u know that u meant a lot to me in every imaginable way. You made me feel I mattered although at times it’s hard to tell, u gave me a reason to be a better person and most importantly u gave me a reason to wake up in the morning and a reason to stay up late in the night. I will always remember the way that you make the hair behind my back stand up just by walking into a room, the way that you look straight into my eye when we talk and the way that you make all my troubles go away by just smiling at me. The glow on your face will always lighten up my darkest moments.

Nothing saddens me more than the fact that we’re parting ways.
Was it avoidable?? I don’t know..probably..
You always told me that “everything happens for a reason”.
I guess I have to learn the hard way what the reason is.
I wish you all the best in all of your future undertakings…
I sincerely hope and pray that one day you’ll be able to make your life long dream come true.
